Edit: looks like the above Link just crashed, maybe try latter or click on a link to buy the new Foxtel Now box in your Foxtel Now Account settings)
Telstra TV (Roku) sounds like a better option, it has a built in Tv tuner, has all the catch up services and has Foxtel Now, Netflix and Stan. With them going out to a lot of people via Telstra's NBN bundle, I reckon a lot will turn up on Ebay cheap. I am not sure if they are network locked ? Anyone know ?

To answer my own question, it requires a Telstra ID to setup.

Not hard, at worse activate a $2 Telstra sim card.

No Telstra TV aren't network locked but you do require a Telstra account to register a Telstra TV before it can be used also a 2 dollar SIM purchase for non existent tablet at a telstra shop and they'll create an account for you is all you need.

Wonder if this guide for fire tv and fire stick will stop Foxtel now Box from sleeping using this guide?
i don't have mine to test gave it to a relative
Android Debugging Developer mode guide for fire TV

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Switch on adb debugging in settings on your device

Connect to your device via ADBlink
    Download ADBLink from

By entering your device ip in ADB Link program on computer

    1. Get your current sleep_timeout value

    default value is 12000
    and 0 stops device sleeping
Run Console in ADB Link then type

    --------------------------------------------
adb shell settings get secure sleep_timeout

    --------------------------------------------
    2. Set your current sleep_timeout value (integer)
Run Console in ADB Link then type
adb shell settings put secure sleep_timeout <value>
    In ADB Link Console type

    -----------------------------------------------
adb shell settings put secure sleep_timeout 0

    -----------------------------------------------

Should stop sleeping using the zero 0 value without root

Just tried, but can't connect to Foxtel Puck with ADB on the default port 5555. The only open ports I've found so far are 995 6466 8008 & 9000, and ADB can't seem to connect to any of them.

Can I second this please? Original links to the Foxtel apk are expired. Chromecast is working so so for Foxtel to a Mi Box but native would be better I think.

Here you go lads, includes the icon for leanback also

Has anybody tried sharing a Now account, might be an idea between mates like sharing a Netflix account. Not sure what the limitations are though.

Ah I was looking for that Mega link, that version is slightly older to the one I linked... but it has all the other iPlayer stuff which is nice.
