Gordon, he said it's been a week since he submitted the application, so it should have been processed by now.
Two likely scenarios.
1. No signal at the decoder at the time the activation code was sent.
2. He's not in Australia. (application will be denied).
The OP needs to respond to my questions, as I can see he's visited this thread since I posted them.
He's also started a thread in the BST section wanting someone to send him a FREE activated decoder - CAM/card.
Don't like his odds of that.

Tell him to try a 'rehit'.
remember::: your ip address is checked by the acma for location
I saw that MTV and I agree a week is too long but who knows with the activation section if they either havent received the application, there is only one person doing the activations and they broke their pencil and are waiting for a new one?
One time I dealt with a section of the Railways seeking approval to purchase something and it had to pass through several clerks. If one of those clerks went on Holidays, everything stopped until that clerk returned.
If he has done all you suggested previously, then a phone call is in order I believe to see whats happening.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
Not sure if it's ACMA, but VAST does now.
There was a recent report of someone having VAST revoked as they were identified by using an OS IP address.
The OP has provided an Australian address, but his IP places him in Indonesia.
That probably explains why he now wants to buy an already-activated CAM/Card.

Thats allright, Foxtel reads my ISP as 'being outside Australia' too and not Mudgee, NSW............
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
The report came from an Austech member, not from VAST and that member said that VAST withdrew access when they tried to renew their service, or something similar, because they were identified as being outside Australia and could not provide proof that they resided at the address they used to register.
If you registered from the IP you are currently using, VAST management will see you are telling them porkies

It's interesting this IP identification, as I'm on Satellite broadband so my IP shows as Residential NSW, yet I am in Tasmania.
So my IP address is based on the ISP's base station Server, not my modem or PC address.
Not a problem for me though as I am the registered owner of my property address, so proof is easy.
If I use my VPN my IP comes up as what ever Foreign country I choose to be from or one that is selected for me. Hmm.
For the OP, you can check what IP you are detected as, by opening this page >>

"You can lead a person to knowledge, but you can't make them think? If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
The information is out there; you just have to let it in."
IP is not a very accurate way of tracking peoples location.
Same as when you do a speed test and it gives your location as a Suburb of Melbourne !!!
That would be a problem if you rang 000 via VoiP and it read you were in Outer Woop Woop !!!

Simple check to see if VAST is activated, go to the reactivite page put in the SN, If they get a message back saying ABC/SBS will be activated shortly, then they have prob missed the initial activation and as long as the card is in the correct receiver it will activate in about two min.
Alternatively they receive a reply saying sn in not on database they either try and activate again or VAST have specifically stopped it.
If the activation says the card is already registered, then yes it has been stopped.
Yes they do now do random audits in subs, especially Eastern state registrations.
They also do Name cross checks on their database.
Not sure about IP checks, a simple VPN would work in Indonesia. I use it all the time to watch FOXTEL GO when I am over there.
I personally think they have just missed the activation.
Try and avoid activations on weekends or out of hours as their techs do it manually the next day, so you might get a call to provide proof of location.

Hi guys,
I think I have done something not considered legal. I have 2 boxes both as traveller for different banquets.(WA and Qld). One box I used my as name in.rego and the other another family members details for the other region. I registered both boxes at the same.property address. Have I gone about this the wrong way. I.got both.boxes registered as a traveller. Is it legally right how I.did it.
Just need some.advice
Thanks in.advance
Loppy
Who is to say that you can NOT travel in WA whilst another family member is travelling in QLD.
As a traveller, you can change bouquet anytime when moving between WA, North and South.
Legally?? IMHO if VAST were to conduct an audit, as long as you can explain yourselves (proof maybe required), then there should be no reason why there is anything illegal done here.
As a traveller activation, it just means you have to extend your travellers activation every 6mths if you continue travelling.
It may cause suspicion after multiple 6mthly activations, but, more and more are on the road travelling for longer periods.
Also, there is nothing stopping anyone from registering a box or boxes for their approved home address, then have another box registered as a traveller for a state you're travelling in.
