If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

It does make a difference on 2.4, on my Windows 10 PC anyway. Its been mentioned before, but is worthy of a thread title as it is one of those annoying little things that can drive you nuts.
I worked out something was going on when my PC (2.4) was slow as hell in a speed test, while my Samsung S8 (5.8) was super fast.

A few minutes experimenting with my M8S - in the WiFi settings it gives Line Speed.
Set up the Asus with 802.1Q disabled, apply, reboot.
M8S cold boot - Line Speed 39Mbps
Enable 802.1Q, apply, reboot.
M8S cold boot - Line Speed 65Mbps
Change Channel from Auto to 11, apply, reboot.
M8S cold boot - Line Speed 72Mbps
These are only single test results so ...
It should be noted that at the time of checking the Line Speed on the M8S I also checked the 5G speed. It varied widely, why not known, but in every case very much faster than 2.4G (up to a factor of 5).
