ACCTV app is on my uk roku 2, roku media app works with dlna servers not windows shares
Looking at a device to stream for the boss. A Roku Live looks to be suitable, however, I would defer to your greater experience. Can you please offer suggestions as to suitability given her requirements.
- streaming of netflix
- Streaming of any christian channels if possible
- Streaming of lifestyle channels - (home reno, antiques and the like)
- connection to our home network for access to stuff stored on my media server - movies, music etc.
- access to Foxtel Go (as opposed to Foxtel Now) - may not be critical if the above criteria are met.
- possible pause re-wind live TV - not critical (given that I am looking at a Roku Live)
As above, her requirements are fairly basic. My thinking is that some of these devices are able to be upgraded and modded. What sort of things can be done? Are there any particular mods that are beneficial, to be avoided? Which models?
Let the fireworks begin!!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Have you considered the Telstra Tv 2 ?
Many are on Gumtree/Ebay as decent prices as Telstra is supplying them with their bundles.
All you need is a Telstra ID to activate it (ie go buy a Telstra $2 sim)
I looked at the Telstra TV, considering that Telstra are offering them for $200 with little, or no backup (T Box, anyone) I'm not so keen.
