Default Analogue line to SMS Control Room Converter

I found this part today that looks like the answer to replacing the PSTN line for alarms with the move to NBN.

Anyone installed one of these and any feedback on the install and use of this against a Bosch 16+ panel?

    Thanks

Yes I have used them. Was actually testing it for the manufacturer in NZ.

Used it for both sms alerts and back to base monitoring. I had early firmware so can not comment on the newer ones.

Is this a self install item inside the Bosch Sol 16+ panel enclosure or should I get an installer to do this? Any recommended installer in the Hills district in Sydney?

    Cheers

Depends on your technical ability, its not a polled device, so you will only know it is not working when it does not work.

However if you do get someone to install it, you may find any issues will be yours to deal with.

Like with what happened with Risco over the weekend.

No it does not (Risco IP module that is)

Speaking of Risco have a read online about the server fail of last week.
