Sounds like SBS will still run it

When I first heard the name 'Viceland' I wondered what sort of content was proposed for the channel.

Unless I have missed "IT", I havent seen anything so far that wasnt of the type of programming SBS ran anyway.

We know of course there are very different Laws in Australia regarding program content to those in the USA/Canada.
Gunshots, gratuitous blood, guts and gore are the norm but you cannot show a 'BARE BUTT!!

In most 'Sex Scenes', they wear more clothes than an Inuit does when seal hunting at the North Pole.

I wonder if the name is responsible for the low viewing numbers because it isnt delivering what the viewer is expecting by the way of anything remotely 'Vicey'.

    From the article

The move is not expected to directly impact VICELAND with SBS.

I gather this Company (Vicelands) makes and On sells programs to broadcasters like SBS, so now their future will be based on will they still have enough customers to met the Bills after terminating their agreement with the other company.

They may have the best of Programming in the World but if dont have a market to sell to, you wont last very long.

I wondered about the name. It did have some god shows on it, so will keep it in mind. Doesn't look as though we are affected anyway.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
