check your power supply is up to the task the heavy draw is on boot check what the 12v line list in the bios
Got a weird one for ya.
One of my computers, which runs dual screens, acts strange on startup.
On startup, both screens run to see the initializing screen (the one where it shows found drives etc.) then it goes to the blue window in the middle of the screens (with the juggling balls) for about 10 secs then one of the screens turns off. It then continues until windows is fully loaded with only one screen operating.
If I then tell it to restart, windows will load with both screen running normally.
So to recap, Startup from fully off and 1 screen works, restart and 2 screens work.
So once again, if I do a shutdown, it will revert back to only 1 screen on startup.
Basically it means I have to start the computer twice before I can use it properly.
The motherboard is an Asus P8H61-M LE/USB3
Video card is ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500
Win 10 found the latest drivers for the video card. I checked that with auto detect software from the AMD site.

what brand and model is it what video cards is it running
I found out the video card is not supported under win10. Not usually a problem to get cards working with a non supported OS but in this case dual screens didn't work too well.
I fixed it but installing another card.
glad you have it sorted
Yeah, I was thinking video card. My dual screen devices both boot, wake both screens at BIOS, then send one screen to sleep until Windoze has just about finished loading. Never had your issue, though.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
