Default Who is Pennytel's mobile Carrier?

I saw an ad in the Daily Telegraph about Pennytel and out of curiosity went to the website to see who they are and what they were offering.
It seems everybody is offering 'Unlimited Talk time and SMS' now along with a blob of data but my interest was to see which Carrier they are using and I couldnt find any reference to the Carrier what so ever.

The coverage maps mimic both Optus and Telstra which told me nothing but as I well know, what is drawn on paper may not translate to a signal on the ground.

    Pennytel, who are you??

From the "About Us" section on the Pennytel website:

*Coverage note: Pennytel Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 12 166 566 632) uses parts of the Telstra Mobile Network that cover more than 98.8% of the population with 3G and 96.5% of the population with 4G

    arent they all?
And now with Telstra shedding 8000 jobs, its anybody's guess of who and how many will be employed in the Call Centres.

    Call Centre?
    Ever since Pre Paid (2004)
I've rung a Call Centre twice
Prior to that, in the Telstra Bill Paid days, I'd have to ring the Call Centre 6 times a year or more.

Pre Paid with Optus has been a dream run apart from the odd outage due to tower upgrade.

I'd never go back to bill paid service and call centres...

I ported a number to them just to park it as it has no contract. I had to speak to the call centre because the port had an issue. Call centre staff were professional and very helpful. Can't complain.
