I've hooked up brake and reverse wires, but, no rear camera plugged in as yet, when I engage reverse gear, screen goes black for camera, ok, but radio audio cuts out, is that supposed to?
Thanks, found the setting, all good. Didn't have time today to continue, but, drove around with TomTom, Tune in Radio, etc, all working well, calls whilst in street nav, whilst in Internet Radio, receiving, making, no real issues. GPS seems to lose fix when off screen, probably need to enable background, haven't really delved into finer aspects.
Say, dash cam records vision plus text file with trip log, can both be played like overlayed, on device? on PC?
Problem, this morning, nothing on AM. FM & DAB, Tune In all OK. Scanning AM just loops, picks nothing. Presets have set frequencies, but just get static. Apparently there are some hidden menu/ tuner choices...???
Any thoughts?
menu - car settings - extra - 123456
yes, nothing much of any value there - and the connection diag so low res, when in full screen, can't even read labels
turned out to be 126
radio was set to Europe, not Aus - though that largely same, I think
still can got any AM stations..?
tried front bezel reset, then, factory reset, no luck, seek just runs the whole range..?
My AM reception is not the greatest, but it does it
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Just thinking I don't think I've tested AM after installing the antenna adapter, could that be faulty..? I'll try today connecting previous 'antenna', piece of wire. Would FM work without antenna though..?
sorted this one: my Play is set to 'for large downloads use Wi-Fi'. I have data over cell phone, radio connect to phone's Wi-Fi.
somehow, when phone is on Voda, Play considers it cell data, but, when I'm on Telstra, Play considers it Wi-Fi.
After I changed Play to 'download over cell data', I was able to install nav app and maps OK.
Home Screen
FM Radio Screen
Storage File Manager
Had the SD card inside, so i though i'd post a few screenshots

I see there are alternate launchers for car use, any one uses such, which one?
What about alternate dashcam apps?
Any apps to read out/reply to SMSs?
My unit came with a screen film, never used such before, is that of any real benefit to visibility?
What is the meaning of one SD slot called GPS, isn't it just normal SD, or is it something special?

Join the Eonon forum or their FB page, lots of advise, faq's and answers there.
Being Android, the world is your oyster when it comes to Apps, same with launchers, its all personal choice.
Try things and evaluate if you like them or not
If you think it something worth sharing, post it here.
Yeah, it is just an SD slot, you could run your Nav Apps on the NAND or SD, just nice to have them on a SD card, especially if you add your own POI.

Well, after about two weeks with 2170:
AM/FM works well, DAB works well depending on signal, hands-free works well. What's really badly broken is Bluetooth, to connect other devices like OBD, that just doesn't work properly or, doesn't work at all. I guess I'm lucky mobile phone Bluetooth works well.
I'm still happy with the unit, things I need work OK. I'll probably hook up hard wired OBD (I like toys).
Still need to figure out a couple of things.

I'm having a lot of issues with phone book, many entries have phone numbers only, names don't show, some entries have names, but junk values under phone number. Tried multiple times deleting phone from blue tooth, and, re pairing a new, no luck so far. Actual calls work OK, just display of some names is problematic. After re pairing, I think I've now lost more names that I had initially. Overall, unit works well. Also, I'm trying to figure out how too restrict cell data consumption, all I want, cell data for TomTom.
Glad you are happy
I don't seem to have issues with BT (Phone or OBD2 dongle or Battery Monitor) all connect ok.
I will say, one downside with mine, is it loses the FM Radio presets easy!
Low Voltage (Say poor batteries and winter cranking)
Battery disconnect
Or a Recovery Menu reboot
Be nice if this didn't happen.
Also, a Warning when using FM BOOSTERS
While a cheap FM BOOSTER might solve a small problem and be fine for many traditional types of head sets.
It can make a bigger problem with our Android units, depending on what AM/FM chipset they have.
It is has been reported by others and i can concur, that the use of a FM Booster can and will damage the onboard AM/FM chipset
It does not like the increased voltage jammed up its backside.
Result is an even more deaf AM/FM chipset than you started with
I say this from personal experience
My unit was slightly improved with the FM Booster
But now when the Booster is disconnected, the unit is worse than it was originally.

great Ill have to get me one of these more fun than driving the car
Well, Eonon support has sent me an updated build, then, one more updated build, but, neither has fixed the fault, and perhaps introduced a new issue. It's not a show stopper for me, though, would prefer to have it fixed.
Main issue, quite a few phone book entries are corrupted in the sense that some do not have a name in name field, but, another phone number displayed rather than name, or, display a name of another person.
At Eonon's request paired another phone, same issue.
Additional issue I now have, TomTom takes about 120 seconds to become operational, after the first 120 seconds pass, it operates normally till I quit the app, then it again takes 120 seconds.
Hoping both issues will get resolved...
I've done the updates from recovery, with wipe/format/reset, though factory reset didn't reset everything, Android settings were gone, radio country, LED colour, steering wheel switches etc survived reset.
