Default Ebay Power supplies going BANG! in 2 seconds

Has anyone had a power supply purchased from Ebay go bang lately. The ones I'm mainly talking about is the 240V to 12 Volt DC 5 or 6 amp shaped like a brick with one LED showing operation. Yes I had a new one go BANG in 2 seconds of operation. It lucky I tested it first before I connected the DC on it.

Had a couple do that although they were ultra-cheap smaller plugpack types considerably lower rated than the one you mentioned. The 'bang' (or a pop and fizzle) was an electrolytic failing every time so put it down to cheap components of dubious quality.
