Default Oz, Sydney Austech members, OK?

"Good Samaritans and emergency crews converge to fight an out-of-control brush fire in Sydney, Australia. The fire has destroyed over 2,500 acres of bushland. "

Worst thing about it is it's highly probable it was deliberately started.
I have family and friends in the area and they're all OK, it's not the first time they faced the threat of bushfires there.

Yeah. it seems the "fully sic bro" boofheads maybe responsible. I live 10 minutes away from the fires and it's been full on. Smoke haze is bad, even today. Anyway, footage was aired on the news last night showing fully sic bro's with bandana's over their face getting off on a fire they lit. Then the idiots let their bandana's off so their face was visible. They uploaded the footage to snapchat.

It shows you just how dry the Bush is considering that Bush Fire Season is officially over and except for extreme conditions, No permits are now required to lit a fire in the open PROVIDING precautions are taken.

Cmangle, the prevailing winds come from South/SouWest of where the fires were lit and this pushes the smoke across what they call the 'Sydney Basin' where most of the population is.
It has a habit of hanging about unless there is a really strong wind to blow it out to Sea.
During certain times of the year when Fog occurs, it too seems to start from around that area and happily drifts across the same area as the smoke is now.
The only good thing you can say about Fog is that it doesnt choke you up as smoke does.

Sadly they wont be able to charge these morons with Lighting a Fire during a Prohibited period (what ever the Law is) but they should have a raft of other charges to lay against them.
