    Post xc68hc705p9cdw reader and programmer

    Hello everybody,

Today i have uncommon question, but i think that somebody here could help me.
I want to copy a xc68hc705p9cdw microcontroller, but i can't find in internet any schematics or programming interfaces for it.
Do anyone know how can i clone firmware from this chip to another?

    Thanks

You'll likely find it is code protected anyway...

I've not had any experience with this chip but it appears to be an older chip and a quick google of "68hc705 programming" indicates you could get away with an old school serial programmer run under dos...

    What's it out of??

It is an vehicular antenna tuner from HF Radio. Codan 9350.
I know, but lets try... maybe its not protected.

but i cant find a programmer for 68HC705P9CDW, only for 68HC705C8 and 68HC705C8A

What is your ultimate purpose in doing this?

Do you want to construct your own (DIY) antenna tuner?

An internet search will find information on constructing an antenna tuner.

More than likely it'll be the same programmer... Pretty much like how Microchip use the same programmer for most of their chips. The problem lies being able to find the appropriate programming software and the ability to get a working serial or parallel port.

A Side note: I used to keep an old 386 because it was the only way I could program eeproms (the newer PC's could never get it right with DOS emulation etc) - it died many days ago.

As tristen said, if you're after a diy - there is probably a much better and more viable solution on the web...
