Default Artificial Meat - Its coming

Just like the Dairy Industry has its share of plant based milks
Soon we will see the same thing in the Meat sector (even though nut meat has been around for 40 years +)

An interesting video from Landline on Fake Meats, with some interesting investors.

I think it is a great idea and there is a market for it with our non meat eating friends
But as a replacement for a Char Grilled T-Bone for a meat eater, can't see it.

I guess they could take the growing Cannabis Industry and combine it with the Artificial Meat Industry and kill 2 birds with one stone for a lot of people

Oh guys, don't do this to me...

I would love so much to eat one of them soft, tender, tasty pieces of fillet again.

I was forced to give it up, bloody uric acid problems.

I am FORCED to eat vegetables...like chicken and other weird green stuff. Sigh.

Certainly not. But political leanings DO try to dictate what others do....and some, especially the left, LOVE to dictate to others....they just can't help themselves.

Just cause you can't see it doesn't mean it's not so. Just as I think it doesn't make it so either, but I COULD be wrong....unlike the left....

Sounds like a futuristic diet for drone robots. They'll never be accepted in society unless they can eat 'n' shit like the animals they're due to replace

There is probably more to that statement than you think
The Fake Meat burger (apart from the one we eat now) might actually have a place on their menu boards

Science says that constantly eating fast food lowers your sperm count. If that's the case, then if you look at the clientele at Maccas, it's just natural selection at work.

Lab grown meat, reminds me of an episode of Better off Ted (hilarious show) with wicked side effects.

Fake meat is just that and never will taste REALLY like meat, well I haven't found any and you can all be sure that I have tried a lot. Actually I don't want it too.
Some of it tastes quite good though and I have fooled a few with Quorn, into thinking they were eating chicken breast. Depends A LOT how you prepare it. There is a lot more to cooking that just throwing something into pan, which is what most do here with meat.

Lab grown sounds interesting because it actually IS meat, grown from stem cells.
So they are up to growing muscle at this stage. A patty costs in the thousands, well that is how these things usually start.
Surely the fat and other chewy bits will follow, maybe then some bone ...and then finally the whole cow!
Much more efficiently than the current way, maybe in 10-20 years.

    All about demand.
China wants to eat a lot of meat like Americans? The conventional way will definitely not provide enough.
Maybe even India might start eating lab grown cow.
Huge market potential, without harming conventional farming, as true conservative meat eaters in the USA and here will mostly not touch the stuff.

Pretty sure most snags you get in Woolies are not 100% meat either.

The thing that these vegans should be protesting about is the job losses, and I ain't talking about the farmers. The poor beef cattle won't have a job in future, not to mention, sheep, piggies and other meat animals.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Don't worry they will be secretly used for COUNTERFEIT lab meat, because it will still be cheaper and consumers will also pay more because it tastes so REAL.

I wonder what this stuff will do to you in the long term - there is good evidence around high fat & protein, low to no carbohydrate, real, non processed foods that are good for your health - as long as the Vegans are happy eh
