The most important difference in the nature of fire from a Tesla battery and petrol is that the former pops small flames one by one giving you a lot more time to exit the vehicle before they all start popping while a petrol fire can engulf you immediately.
I really don't give a fvck if it might be harder to put out, WHEN I COULD GET OUT!

It is also pretty hard to die or become brain damaged from carbon monoxide poisoning from a Tesla also
(Interesting when you look up how many people die from either deliberate or unintentional NOx poisoning)
But its Auto Driving system might kill you, yet that would be the same for a petrol car too.

Then when you consider that more people die each year from vehicle emissions, than vehicle accidents.
