Just get a D2Pro d2e version (which they pretty well all should be now anyway) and you will be set no matter what chipset is in the Wii.
Hi all,
I am a little confused about which chip to use on my daughters WII. I have read the other threads and have also checked out some chip suppliers recommendations on their sites. My unit has the serial LAH 1051XXXXXX and one sites suggests I use a D2C2 version 2 chip and the other says DCpro. I am wanting to use a Clip as my soldering skills are poor , and I understand that some people are not keen on them, but I thought I'd have a bash.
Your input is greatly apreciated.

What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

yup, just be aware if your chipset is D2C or D2C2 you should prolly reprogram the chip with the firmware on the d2pro website....blue sticker is fine with d2e tho
No need to reflash them anymore if they are the new batch nsdn. All the new ones which I have been getting have been fine with all chipsets. It was only some old batches which seem to have that issue.

Hi Cwispy and nsdn,
Thank you very much, that eliminates any confusion
If u want a permanent solution ditch the clip & get someone to instal it for you...not much difference between cost of the clip & labor to instal
PrecisionMods
only D2Pro d2e version
Quick update, took your advice cwispy and installed the new 9 wire D2Pro DSE chip or should I say had it installed.
Cheers
Good stuff mate. You wont have any problems with that chip.
