Default Bosch Solution 16i - Dead / No power on keypad and room sensors

    Hi,

I have had a flawlessly working Bosch Solution 16i system for the last 7+ years (only requiring a battery replacement couple of years back).

This is the first time I have encountered such a problem and I have checked the mains power and there is no problem at the wall i.e mains power has been fine.

The issue is the system is completely DEAD, i.e , there is no power on the keypad and the sensors are dead too so none of the movement sets off any lights now.

I came back home from work and found this as the problem ... any suggestions where I need to start my investigations ?

Thanks a ton to the forum members who I believe will be able to point me in the right direction.

Can't remember if the 16i has on board fuses or self resetting fuse.
Power down alarm and reboot to see if it powers back up.
Just a process of fault finding. Try removing the sensor power from 12 volt output and see if the keypad powers up.

Thanks for the quick reply ... can you pls advise how I should reboot the system as there is no power coming to the keypad ? I have unplugged the power point and plugged it into another outlet but there is nothing that seems to happen to the panel ... no lights flash within the panel (the door is off now as I was checking if it could be a battery leak issue etc)

    Thanks

My apologies the system is a Bosch Solution 16PLUS ... I was going by the product name on the invoice (which obviously is incorrect)

If your not sure how to do it, contact an alarm tech for a service job.

Check voltage at the input to the board, the same with the back-up battery.

If they are both OK and no blown fuses, then it's a hardware fault, most likely requiring replacement.
