Can you pop up a pic of each one?
But in case you cant a couple of questions.
Is the one with flush buttons a switch plate size?
Is the one with the protruding buttons a squarish looking thing with 4 Leds each side of the screen?
Cheers
Hi all
I have 2 RAS's installed 1 has flush buttons & the other protruded but both have no back lighting.
Is it faulty RAS's or something else.....& can it be easily fixed.
Thanks

For some reason I can't attache pics here.
They are the same type of code pad essentially with the LCD screen & 4 LED's each side but the code pad itself on 1 is a membrane type & the other push buttons
Wow I have not seen version with a membrane.
If there is no LCD back lighting then dip-switch C might be in the off position.
The other option is it's dead.
If you are going to remove one to check the switch the top plastic bar and the one at the bottom prise off gently a little bit from each side. The lugs break off easily so be careful. Under that you will see a screw. From there its a doddle
There is a trim pot in the back that allows you to increase the contrast but it's not recommended as it might just go GREY.

I found 2 dip switch each with 4 switches all in the off position.
Tried changing the 3rd on each to on with no change.
Seems they are both faulty

Some of the early ras's did not have backlights, only contrast adjustments. They were made that way for certain chains of business's that did not want the screens displaying infomation in full brightness especially when they were mounted in retail areas of the premises.
Are they both on the same system?
Because if they are then you should be displaying "Ras Fail" as both will be addressed as Ras one.
