Default Charging/Headphone Double Adaptor - Google Pixel 2 XL

I now have a Google Pixel 2 XL which seems to be a great phone.

Like many of the new phones it does not have a dedicated earphone port but you can plug your headphones into the charging/data port - Type-C connection.

The issue is that you can charge the phone or listen to music but not both at the same time. There is talk of a double adapter that plugs into the Type C port that allows allows the phone to be charged and allows the headphones to be plugged in at the same time.

I have searched for this "double adapter" but cannot find one.

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks

    Garry

I had something else that used the one port, (a 3.5mm banana plug) for both charging and the headset.
Make sure whatever you get will do both and not send a voltage where it shouldnt go.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Revisiting this old thread - bought one from ebay but doesn't work - the phone says it does not recognise it. Tried a couple of other versions at mobile phone kiosks and none work on the Pixel.

So anyone with a Google Pixel 2 or XL actually got one to work on their phone?

    Thanks

Might be easier to get some Bluetooth headphones or charge it wirelessly....

Oh, I have got the best phone on the market, it's called a Huawei p20 pro.....

If it's the "best phone on the market" and you can't get it to do what you desire, what makes you think any of the "lesser" phones will do any better? Oh! I know, it's NOT the best phone on the market and the better ones CAN do what you desire. (FWIW, I've never bothered to to try)
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Yes I agree - I was being cheeky hoping a pixel owner would come along.

I am mainly looking at using the dual functions when I have the phone in the car and want to charge and play music through the car radio at the same time - unfortunately the car radio is not bluetooth capable so using that is not an option in the car.

    Cheers

Maybe this gadget will solve your problem:

BTW I have the best phone in the world. It is Huawei MATE 10.
It has a headphone/microphone jack and it can do everthing I NEED it to do, without messing around with annoying gadgets, adaptors.
