Well, maybe after you were there, and I walked around it on 16 June, they removed the prohibition on the entire north side and east side and most of the south side?

You aren't referring to Mount Conner are you, it would be easy for someone to get them mixed up.

It's a common thing with peeps that drive up to that area from the south.

Well, if you're using a dashcam then I gather you didn't walk around it like I did, the only areas that you are asked not to take photos are those shown on that map I linked in earlier.

It would have been awesome to see it in the rain!

they are park rangers also run the park entry ticket booth and in the cafe and info center and caravan park booking site all were clean well dressed.

only saw 6 dodgy ones selling dot art painted on cut up VB boxes and one park ranger that needed to blow in the bag please.

did not see or hear of any crime it would get covered up anyway.

Why would there be crime there?
Geez you've got a low estimation of indigenous people
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

No burnt out commodores either, so I'm not sure where the OP was?

And while there's a lot of Aboriginal culture I don't understand I'm happy to respect their request not to climb, or to take photos in sensitive areas.
Yeah, we went out to Uluru in 2015 (after a trip to Finke), and walked the base of the rock. The only signs telling you not to touch it, or take photos, were at a couple of sacred sites, and there was a bit where you couldn't approach within a certain distance. Because it was late in the afternoon, we just did a quick walk by ourselves, and a couple of rangers that we saw had no problem with it. They did suggest we went on a tour to learn more about it, but we aren't into organised tours. We didn't climb it, even though we were able to if we wanted to.

Anyway, it was worth the trip, and I may go again sometime, but I enjoyed King's Canyon more.

not sure who that is pointed at but its' not the locals you have to be concerned about it's the fake tourist's cleaning out you car wile you go for a walk.

MAP z16 res not like that stupid mud map the parks supply.
any errors on map i am happy to make changes from people with boots on the ground not someone behind a keyboard 3000km's away searching google.

making a Z21 map calibrated for oziexploer ozf4 format if anyone wants it later.

green line along the top i am sure is no photo but is not fenced for now.
    red line fenced.
    black line fenced no photo.
    no line not sure.
all the videos i made i made sure not to get signs and fences in it.

    76 that is pushing it.
BUT its his life to use how he likes.

i see Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia, which manages several tourism properties for the ILC, is expected to have an outstanding loan in June 2018 of $308 million these guys are so screwed when they close the climb because they only make 14.5 million a year and take away the 20% that climb it and it looks looks the bank will get it.
then add the ??% that find out you cant take photos and game over.
the banks move in and i have a feeling saying "land rights brother" is not going to stop the banks from taking everything.
then TRASH post #10 will happen.
