Brivis Buffalo 140 gas heater

Can some one come up with a common sense answer re my heater. What happens is when it tries to come on in the morning it oscillates, going on and off. You have to switch it off, wait a while and retry, It eventually comes on. Once on all ok, the fan will switch on and off ok for the rest of the cycle, switch off and on again in the after noon with out a problem until it switches off at night, in the morning the problem resumes
Got a Brivis (independent) heater technician in to look at it. He just scratched his head, but did not charge me
Possible problem is an out of balance cylindrical fan putting pressure on the motor?
Not game to touch the unit as the temp in Melbourne at the mo is around 12C thru the day and i don't think the boss would have (less) a sense of humor

Did the tech check the gas pressure setting?

Pressure can drop with temperature, so the morning cold start may be a result of insufficient pressure or a dodgy sensor.

+1 for that!

Years ago the gas ducted system would try and start 3 times then give up restarting it would work some times it had the techs stumped as what was wrong as when they rocked up to look in the arvo at it it would fire up first time. low pressure from the main regulator and dirty jets.

On a side note gas network company are offering nice incentives like $500 rebate on new heaters. I got a 5 star Braemer fully installed with 10 outlets for $3.5k. I remember installing myself a Mid efficiency Brivis unit 20 yrs ago and kit wasn't that much less!
