Ya GOTTA be kidding me..............
The man appointed by Malcolm Turnbull to transform the Commonwealth's digital public services has said if he was Australian he would probably opt out of the Government's controversial online health database.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I love the way the ####ers make you jump thru hoops to de-register, even with a mygov account its obvious they dont want you to de-reg by making it as convoluted as possible
Apart from death................there is only one other thing in this world you can be sure of and that is the guberment cannot be trusted and does NOT have your interests as their primary concern
There will never be a third series of Utopia, Rob Sitch couldn't make this up...

I reckon Google and particularly FACEbuck has the medical details of 90% of all the sheep in this world anyhow, the way most of them like to brag about their diseases.
Anyway it is easy to opt out, I did it today before they create the irreversible record in all excitement earlier than the 15th October:
For those who have life threatening allergic reactions this database might make sense , otherwise I think my medical data is only a matter for the Doctors who already have access to all my medical data.
It is enough that my doctor and you lot know I am a nut case

Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.
Humans: Entities that are not only outdated but broken... AI-self-learning-update-error...terminate...terminate...
Just opted out.
The possibility of hackers adding or deleting information is too great.
Absolutely....(not the nutcase bit)....
My eldest daughter has bad epilepsy and is on the NDIS.....opting out would be madness IMO.
I will opt out tomorrow, and the wife will probably do the same. I'm sick to f*cking death of politicians claiming it's secure when almost everyone (those with an IT clue) knows it's not.

Given the complexity of my wife's medical conditions, and medications, ePAS is a godsend for us. I keep a current list of her meds, allergies, her history and medical specialists on a Tablet that goes to hospital with her. The hospital Pharmacist loves it! With one of her recent stays in the cardiac unit one of the doctors was able to go through her history on ePAS and found a worrying trend in her blood results that would not have been readily noticeable if he'd had to go through the old paper records. As a result she is now also under a haematologist who is addressing the issues found. The diagnosing doctor said, by itself, the reading is ok to "visit" but you don't want to live there, which she had been. Do I trust the government with all my details, hell no! However, they are the lesser of two evils, i.e. govt, or google?
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
