Opt out of health records

Has any one a simple way to opt out of the health register
Discussed this with my wife and we both have decided we and the boys will opt out, but i see it is fraught with challenges
See the attached although it is The News and most/probably a bit of a beat up

There is no way that your personal info will, in the long run, be exposed, just a matter of when!
The underlying reason for our concerns is a son who does not yet know whether he is Arthur or Martha, if that info got out it may jeopardize
his job prospects

I to have logged out. SWMBO however couldn't as apparently she has had a record created in the past... WITHOUT her knowledge or approval. Now these 'special' people say they cannot delete her record, even though it was created without her knowledge. Would the term fraudulently be applicable I wonder.

Just goes to show once again why we cannot trust those in authority to make decisions with our best interests at heart.

Before you start saying tinfoil hat etc, just remember these same wonderful people are the ones who kept records on a % of people from the census before the most recent one. You know, the one where we were promised they would destroy the records....... scum that they are.

Just a few reasons why I have chosen to opt out - apart from the obvious one - that it needs to be linked to the steaming pile of bovine excrement which is abbreviated to mygov

I've opted out. If you've got a drivers licence and a Medicare Card it only takes a couple of minutes. This is the link to the relevant web page where you can opt-out online:



You can also do so by phone.

I had a think about it because it does have some benefits if it was only done properly. All indications I have seen are that it hasn't been. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see what if anything is done to address the shortcomings. You can opt-in later if you choose.

There have been complaints on Facebook by people trying to opt out of the health record system.
For some its been a straight forward exercise but for others its worked right until the last entry or so and then crashed.
Even ringing hasnt always been as easy to do either.

Like everything else this system sounded a good idea at the time but as usual it hasnt lived up to expectations.

It’s still on a gov server ready for viewing by anyone that’s authorized at any time .

A record is normally NOT CREATED if you opt out in time, if we can believe what they say

Interesting now you mentioned that, I have solved countless captchas on thousands of webs sites but this was the first one where I got a whole bunch of debug code in red on the bottom related to the captcha and I had to solve it again and resend, which luckily worked.

the doctor i had been seeing for 35yrs dropped dead the surgery then went private only they said find another doctor and we will fwd your records,the problem occurred when they only fwd a fraction of the records,then the next practice lost all it's doctors at the same time probably not paying them enough so we had to find another doctor that accepted public patients,but of course he did not have all the records so there is no verification of what you are telling him.so i don't mind them being online at all

i bet the server storing the data will be so easy to get into a script kiddy will have every thing downloaded and for sale on the TOR net in no time.
or worse the server is already in India so your data in being read by some curry muncher right now.
the governments vomit blood just thinking about what data has been stolen from servers that may get them in trouble {panama papers} but are so happy to put all your data on some cheap leased server in some shithole country.
if you are going to dig around the TOR net do it on free wifi and with a laptop you don't care about.
some of the DBF files for sale will scare the crap out of you all police records for Australia is up for sale there containing everything that mobile units can see up to hi level police access.

I had no trouble opting out yesterday.

This morning I logged on again and was told that I had "already opted out" and that no record would be created.
