If you're an AFL fan then VAST WA is slightly better as it has more games in HD. But VAST North/South also show different games, so really the best VAST solution for sports fans is all three bouquets on three boxes!

I am regarded as being in the SE Region of NSW , this covers the area SOUTH of a line drawn roughly from Sydney through to Broken Hill although some ads cover Mt Isa and Alice Springs in SE Queensland on the NINE network via Imparja who were one of the original Aurora Broadcasters.

One BLOODY annoying feature is the 5pm News (TEN Network) is from MELBOURNE, not Sydney.
Also there is more emphasis on AFL type shows than NRL which is good if you like watching that code.

Basically however its a bloody great service supplying crystal clear picture to almost the whole of OZ.

Having lived in a deep fringe area for the best part of 50 years, I do appreciate it for what it is.

Summer is more fun with South taking up daylight saving advancing an hour and being 3 hours ahead of WA, North staying in their same time zone being two hours ahead.

I have found this handy when watching a program on either the ABC or SBS that conflicts with something else and I can watch it in the other time zones.
My UEC is an early one and I am too mean to buy the needed Remote to update it to a PVR.
