Very simple, Bob. We can't allow these techniques to shut down debate. They have been used successfully by both left and right many times in modern history. At the moment it is the extreme left that are applying them and are being allowed to get away with it. (1) In the future it may be the extreme right. Regardless of your side of politics you should be supporting free speech, even from those you don't agree with. When you support someone who wishes to express their point of view being required to pay a large fee because of expected violent organised demonstrations from their opponents, you spit in the face of free speech. It is not like security for a football game or a party where you may pay for a small amount of security for crowd control and dealing with a few who can't hold their drink. Here you are talking mainly about antifa thugs planning deliberate violence, and asking the victim to pay for the privilege of expressing their views. What would be good though, is if one of the big TV networks picked up on this, and had a new TV show called "Arena Wars". Put both sides in an arena, and let them battle it out there. It would give both sides their perceived freedom of expression of their "ideals", there wouldn't be any collateral damage to public safety and property, and it would be great fodder for the masses to keep their minds occupied away from the real problems with the world.

If she goes into a muslim neighbourhood and espouses anti islam sentiments she will inevitably cop it and the police should charge her (costs) if a riot ensues.

If she goes to a venue to preach to those of like mind and the protesters come to that venue to shut her down then the police should charge the protesters if a riot ensues.
