I am still waiting for those high(room) temp temperature super conductors they promised us years ago.
Instead it just has only become much harder/expensive to get hold of liquid nitrogen... for us humble non academic physicists.

Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.
Humans: Entities that are not only outdated but broken... AI-self-learning-update-error...terminate...terminate...
There really isn't a need for superconductors. Linear motors can do the same job with a little bit of smarts. A lot cheaper than pumping liquid nitrogen onto a train.
