Programming a new Car Key

I have just received a "spare" key (from EvilBay) for my Hyundai I45 Premium. Does anyone know how to program the key for these things, or is it a dealer job given that this is a "smart" key in that there is no ignition switch per se? The manual that I have seems to indicate that I need to use some fancy diagnostic computer to do so.

Any locksmith or mechanic should be able to do it.
You need a diagnostic computer....

I'll do it for free with my autel, you just need to drive to Kalgoorlie.......

I got a replacement for an AU Ford (yr 2000) and while copying the metal tang seems to be a simple engraving job, the actual plastic body had a hole in it in which they inserted this 'plug' which then had to be programed from an active key.
In this instance, the 'plug' is passive and what ever is on it, is read by a loop around the ignition lock not unlike the chips inserted in Dogs and Cats.
I think this is about the cheapest and easiest copying system as I heard some luxury cars keys can cost several hundred dollars or more.

Only problem with that link Rick

Only available in a standard key currently to suit cars with bladed ignition.
