not that simple, champion, you know that, i know that, but it didnt stop it being banned or being excluded from live performances and reissues of original recordings

the good news is, and the reason for drawing you into this, champ, is Robert Smith and The Cure have decided to take it back

so the question this thread asks, china, is when is it religious offense and when is it just a JOKE!!?

Yeah, the song was misunderstood by both advocates and opponents of it, in equal measures. And the very ordinary lyrics to that particular song are probably more an indication of how young Smith was when he wrote it, rather than any great insightful meanings he derived from Camus.

Personally, although I like some of their songs, I was never a big Cure fan.

Good result, lets hope it sets a precedence and shows you can't use religion as an excuse for flouting the law, whichever religion.

I would vilify them based upon their religion, too, if they chose to ignore the law. I, as a Christian, (yeah, I know how some of you view any religion) am commanded to obey the law of the land and, certainly do not expect any consideration based upon my beliefs.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Nice to see the race / religion card being thrown back squarely in their faces. Sick and tired of this filth and their bullshit thinking the are superior and everyone one else should bow down to them.
The great majority that come here are uneducated peasants from shithole countries they want to desecrate oz into the same messes. The ones with any education or smarts stay in the couple of decent arabic countries where for the most part they live like westerners anyway.

Maybe now this will send a message to these rorting bludgers and other judges and officials and this crap wont be tolerated like it has been.
Of course ordering them to do something is one thing, enforcing it is quite another. I think this is a long way from over yet.
