    Default Generic android car units.

Wondering if anyone here has fitted one of these generic ebay android units to their car, i'm thinking about adding one as a supplementary system into a space that was used for models with factory satnav. I have seen posts on a UK forum from someone that fitted a similar one and he seemed happy enough.
This unit being shallow is ideal for my application as it needs to be slightly angled, i will piggy back into the factory stereo's aux input which i have already done for extra inputs including a small BT adapter.

Yes, I fitted a very similar one to a ford fiesta 2009 a while back. It's brilliant, couldn't be happier.

Very similar to this one. Also now have DAB+ and reversing camera on ours.

I use the Eonon brand of Android head unit
The lad got an eBay cheapy that was purporting to the be the same thing.

It came with out some inputs on the rear, like USB1 and USB2 (only had USB via front face)
Also, once we got it in and fired it up, it had trouble with Playstore (a very typical sign of a bastardised ROM from another product)

After some hassling with the seller, we got it all going
So it works, but wasn't as a smooth as the Eonon which has been designed for cars with a ROM for cars

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

The dab receiver is separate and just plugs into one of the USB ports on the back, you could hide it in part of the dash. I'm not living in the city anymore so it's fairly useless to me at the moment but I tested it out in Melbourne and I was quite impressed. We'll be moving back to the city soon so I'm looking forward to using it more.
