Quite frankly I have absolutely no sympathy for their monarchy. Everyone knew the floodgates would open when they were allowed to drive, now they want to join in at breakfast. This was always going to cause issues.

yeah the place is still very backward in a lot of respects , and im glad the Prince is trying to bring the place into the 21st century. I worked over there for a while in 2016 and my colleagues said that the Saudis are worried about the rapidly decreasing oil supply and its implications for the nations. so they are turning to tourism and other western influences in order to keep the money going.
I was walking back to the office when i saw an Emirati punching the absolute crap out of his letterbox wife , and i went over to help her but my colleagues dragged me back ,saying the cops would arrest me if i intervened. Now i have no respect for any letterbox , especially the ones who live in Oz but to see one being bashed was just nasty.

I don't see why it's even an issue to us. Their laws and customs, their citizens, and visitors to their country, have to abide by them, same as we expect here.
When I was living in Malaysia back in the early 80's, they were starting to crack down on transgressions of the Khalwat law, which is something very similar.

Bunch of fking Hypocrites.

My cousin and her husband have lived there for Years due to the stupid amount of money they pay him and the servants they provide her.

She has to put on her head job when she walks the streets and there is no booze or other things they deem so offensive until she goes to the billion dollar hotels where the tourists and business people are. Go there and the booze is flowing, the show girls are dancing topless, women are walking round in clothing that would have them stoned in the street and lounging by the pools in almost Bikinis. All the decadence they are so against in the western world is encouraged as much as they can.

Their tolerance of the western ways they so hate is soon accepted when they know if they don't give the infidels what they want their shithole county would be stuffed.
I respect people that stand up for their beliefs no matter how little I may understand them but those that swing whichever way according to what suits them at the time and put those beliefs they cry about aside are pissweak in my book.
