wow, very similar to an episode of The Orville called "Majority Rule"

It won't be long before it will be like that worldwide, I think. Well, not at my place out here in the bush unless they put in a hell of a lot of infrastructure to run it.
    Cheers, Tiny

You haven't been watching the TV series Black Mirror have you?

I would suggest before scrolling down or voting .... watch Black Mirror.
    (skip season 1 & 2 - they're crap seasons not worth watching)
Watch Seasons 3 & 4. They explore this topic from the "what could possibly go wrong" side of things.

Watching the episode, "Metalhead" and then watching a Boston Dynamics video. It makes me defensively trigger happy.
I'd shoot a furby in self defense kind of disturbing.

I can't remember the episodes or names of the episodes dealing with social credit. All I can say is that in the spirit of all things Black Mirror, "It's fvcking disturbing".

    Good show.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Not so much the cameras but the algorithms.

So if your dad said something negative about the Government, YOU will get points deducted.

My son is in 3rd year IT and their latest assignment was to create an A.I. that uses inference to make a conclusion.
Basically the algorithm works on the principle of inductive reasoning.
It turned out to be a lot more difficult then he thought and he got 10% penalty for late submission.
It also turned out that most of his fellow students(many Chinese) kind of cheated and did not submit an actual working system,
    while his created fallacies.

Nevertheless there is bright future for all of them as this kind of work will be high in demand.

Who cares if the algorithm got it wrong for a few individuals, as long as it gets it 'right' for everybody else.
On thing must be clear: The system is always right!

The big question will be: How many points do you need to avoid the death penalty?

I guess that's one way to get rid of anyone the government deems to be 'not a model citizen'.
Good little sheeple like Dandan will probably do quite well for themselves, extra benefits, VIP treatment etc. etc.
No doubt all at the expense of those crucified through no fault of their own.
    Glad I don't live there.

Interestingly enough, I "watched" (well, actually, it was on in the background) ANON last night.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
