In programming the comnav to the alarm in module 191 and feature 19 do you have
    2 and 3 off
    1,4,5,6,7,8 on.

There is also a gotcha in the man panel, Feature 6 Segment 1. If it is zero (default) there will be no external reporting.

    I have a ComNav

    Firmware A55P003000-07
    Hardware 206180IX12
    Bootload B0402003
    Webversion CN_0.108-m

Has anyone been successful in getting SMS reporting enabled successfully? Is this via the ethernet web link or the analogue phone connection? Is there any tricks associated with SMS server entry? I have called 125107 by phone line and get a modem type signal but is there any additional setup required?

    Many thanks

Web access login via IP address or both work fine. Just can't get any alerts other than email.

If you are talking about push notifications it is actually done with email, however the email is decided by your phone name in the app. Something like (a.iphone.Aaws) from memory in the notifications section. Put that into email fields on web page should work.

Demons22 thanks for your comments. Emails alerts work fine. I really need something more immediate like SMS or push notifications to my iPhone.

Unfortunately putting the phone name in the email field doesn't work - i have tried five different phones.

SMS is not immediate. Could take up to 10+minutes to get to your phone.

Sounds like you need to have it professionally monitored - probably via GPRS

Andrew thank you for your comments.

The location is out in the bush - this isn't a high value residence.

Comnav has a SMS feature and ten minutes notification would be fine - if only there was some meaningful info on how to set it up.

If there were installers that could actually get this working and they were local I'd get them on the job - but out here - not likely - so its DIY unfortunately.

Is it possible to do both Push Notifications to an iPhone AND SMS? Is there any documented method to setup SMS in ComNav?

I've tried five phones with using the setup outlined in the rangessecurity link but no luck.

(Funnily enough I just setup some Foscam security cameras - push notification alerts work beautifully. Now THAT was an easy setup.)

Sorry never done Sms as push notifications work for me. Generally our company deals with Ness but have done a few comnavs, when they're working they are great. Ness ip is terrible. I have an old comnav, will try setup on the weekend and give you a walk through. Having trouble remembering every step atm.

Oh that would be great thank you - especially if you are sending push notifications to an iPhone iOS 12.

From a troubleshooting perspective I don't understand why emails alerts work but push notifications don't. Weird.

    Comnav Push notifications
    Hey best I can do.
Download Ultraconnect for iphone. Not xconnect

At keypad enter *8 installer code 191#
    19# disable 1,2,3
    enable 4-7*
    check ip settings through 20#,21#,22#,23#
login via web browser and write down
    serial number under ip reporting.
    passcode under network settings

add all details to Ultra connect and save
click notification services, this will provide your phone name/email

    go back to web browser
    go to email reporting
    enter phone name/email in address1,2 or 3
be sure to tick boxes of reports you wish to receive for desired address.

save all settings and exit programme mode.

allow sometime for settings to be applied.(have a coffee)

    test system

    best of luck

Aw many thanks for such a detailed description of the steps.

Did you find a ComNav board and actually get Push Notifications to work to an iPhone iOS 12?

I managed to log a ticket with Hills and they think that it is is a problem with iOS 12 and have referred it to Interlogix.

Major problem if customers/end users think they will get alarm alerts but when they upgrade to iOS 12 alerts will fail.
