Billy Slater is to lose a week for a shoulder charge, to me coming from an AFL background, his charge looked pretty good. Question, why are shoulder charges banned in rugby?

ive watched every grand final as far back that i can remember and this will be
the first one that i will not be watching . One rule for one different rule for another

there is no inconsistancy: its quite simple the attack was from a side on movement , arms were used in a attempted tackle , shoulders were used by both players as protection there was no malice shown by either player : the judicary were correct :

he makes no attempt to tackle at all - he has every intention of using his shoulder and that leading hand bullshit, is exactly that - there are no arms plural in the shoulder charge, his leading arm is cocked and primed for an impact, after the impact he lifts it - they have been trained how to execute a shoulder charge that can get around the rules - they are actually prepared for this and it is obvious by the use of his right arm to appear he is wrapping it around the player that they have read the rules and know how to get it past a judiciary - its obvious

and there is a huge inconsistency because Tapine was suspended for exactly the same tackle - correction - sideways impact shoulder charge
