Controversy, controversy, due to inaction by the umpires by allowing the mark taken by Dom Sheed rather than to pay the free kick to Collingwood for the block, the rules committee of 1 member have adjudicated, and have made the decision that the only way to be fair in this year's tipping competition finale, is to award a penalty of -10 votes to all who tipped the West Coast in this years Grand final, therefore the final margins in this years tipping are as follows;
Position Name Tips Total 1 Al Bundy 0 138 2 Rick 0 135 3 allover -10 133 4 Xplorer -10 131 5 harryt -10 130 6 David071 -10 129 Enf -10 129 8 mkhannah -10 128 9 supertrek -10 127 10 efab -10 125 motorolavkg -10 125 12 rewstar -10 123 13 mtv -10 120 14 Home Games 1 115 15 Away Games 0 94

Alright you pack of bastards here are the real scores, well done to allover with a final tally of 142 to win by two over Xplorer, harryt finishes third with 139 courtesy of Dom Sheed's mark and the umpire's bullshit non-call....

APPEAL APPEAL!! OF course he blocked Collingwood, you don't really think a Victorian team could possibly win against the mighty eagles, do you? [/sarcasm mode]

Al................I enjoy your humour!
Really would like to thank you for all your efforts in putting together the tipping for the year!
What a way to finish the year with what I thought was the closest game of the finals series. Well done to Collingwood for putting up a fight.
I always enjoy putting the tips in and always look forward to the ladder results of our tipping.
Thanks.
/me looks to the third umpire
Good work this year as always Al

Despite the fact that I have not participated in the tipping this year, I have enjoyed watching it, maybe I shall give you all something to think about next year.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Who do you barrack for again? Whoever it is, you should immediately switch to Collingwood so you can just blame the umpires....
Thanks for your efforts for the year mate (again!!)...we all appreciate it.
And hey!!! Perhaps you could add 20 points back on thanks to the Collingwood runner who may have given away the other goal......
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.
Congrats to allover.
Al Bundy, thanks for your dedication and effort with the tipping competition.
If the Collingwombles runner didn't block off their own player, it could have been a different winner.

allover... well done mate!!!
Thanks for another year of running the tipping Al.
It's a huge effort, more than many realise.
Oh... and thanks too for giving the Pies the 'kiss of death' with your tip.
i think we all have done better than some so called footy experts
Despite the fact that I did not watch it, from the reports, both here and elsewhere, it was a hard fought game and either team deserved to win. It's amazing, really, that one small error could determine the outcome.

that was only 1 of many missed calls during the day, high tackles, incorrect disposure of the ball, etc.
These sorts of decisions happen in every sport all year round. But to be honest I feel that both sides had the chance to win without the umpires calls issues.
To say Collingwood lost because of the umpire's bad call isn't fair in that their own runner helped them lose or they just slowed down.
really to come back from being 5 goals down is an achievement in its own right. Not many teams have been able to achieve that this year
Good to see the mug go interstate again

Tibi gratias ago pro tui conatus. Amor enim humor. Annum exspectantes.
It’s been fun guys, I get to hang crap on you’se and don’t get banned , how good does it get. Okay, I know you all get you’re revenge because I barrack for Carlton, so I don’t have much choice but to stir the pot elsewhere to see what sort of reaction I get, I hope to see you all next year, and maybe a few more, in the mean time have a good Xmas, and a happy New Year.
Cheers

Thanks again, Al for hosting an entertaining year of tipping and baiting. I actually saw much of the replay on tv yesterday. It looks like it was a hard fought game, and either team deserved to win. At that standard (i.e. Grand Final) it s what you would expect from a game. Of course there will be mistakes by all sides, including the umps, given the pressure all are under, as long as it is fair and balanced, then it's a good game over all. Well done to both teams.
