Buying a jeep is a religion . It dont matter how old you are or the jeep is ?no ones elses opinion matters in the long run as it dont change the bank balance
When your dead no one cares if you bought a jeep or not ! When your alive , enjoy it as your should Its not an asset its a lifes toy and a appliance to be used
Enjoy the feeling buy a jeep

Was up in Melbourne Friday arvo/evening porkop, must be because of your thread, but i noticed so many Jeep Wranglers!!!!!
Especially the long wheel base 4 door hard. They look good
Saw heaps of them around the inner N/W of Melb.

Just saw a few lifted shorties too, tough looking weekend car.
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

It’s amazing when you like something, like a car, you begins to see them everywhere.

I prefer the 4 door hard top. I do still have a family and grandson to consider so the short wheel base is out of the question.

I’ll keep looking, with or without Ricks help/input.

My and my wife's neck can testify why you never buy a short wheel base 4x4

Everyone's entitled to an opinion, especially when asked for one, but no need for insults.

I wouldnt waste any time listening to that John Cadogan wanker , he is paid by Hyundai and Kia to promote them so cash for comment is what he is all about.

    Couldn't agree more!
For one, he doesn't even mention the JK Wrangler in that video
For two, the last 3 years has seen his verbal diarrhea explode to new heights

He makes videos just for the sake of his own ego now

Every vehicle has faults, the so called legendary 100 series Landcruiser with the 1HT-FTE has lots of faults!! Trust me, i know.

You buy a Jeep Wrangler cos they look farking cool, they are fun, they are easy to make personal modifications.
You live with the rest, its the cost of entry.

4 doors, Solid Axle Front and Rear, Diff Locks, Diesel or Petrol..... You cant even do that with Toyota, well you can in a Work Mate or 76 series.

full of shit, sure chrysler/fiat do make some shitboxes, but to say all are crap is wrong....

I had one of the first of the new gen srt8 300's, best car i have ever owned. did 35000km over 2 years without so much as a blown globe. fast/comfortable and economical....

I traded it in on a ram 2500, as i just didn't use it enough. the ram has 55000km on it over some very rough terrain, again not so much as a blown globe, although all the emissions gear seems to have fallen off......

How is the Jeep going porkop?

Any updates now you've had it for a year?
Taken it off road or just a people mover in town?
Been reliable, outside what everyone says?

    Cheers

Love it. Hasn’t missed a beat. Coming up for its 30k service.

I have found that my fuel consumption is as expected. I use 98 in it and get around 520km city driving on a tank.

Misjudged the gate post and broke the rhs indicator grrrrrrrrr.

Just looking at a roof rack now. I am going for the low profile rhino platform as I don’t intend to carry heaps and they have about a 120kg capacity.

My opinion of jeeps is a positive one.

    Haven’t bee; off road yet....

Yes, the Rhino Flatrack with Backbone is a nice set up
    Frontrunner is another option

Good on you porkop, sounds like a winner.
Does your model come with the stereo that has a built in hard drive?
