Default How to pair mobile to drone.

Start off with inexpensive drone you said, well now have that. Cocoon FPV camera drone HE180101, $79@Aldi.
I've no bloody idea how to pair the drone to ph as I've no wifi, only Mobil data(hotspot). I paired smart TV, so how hard can it be??
    Please help a newbe. Ta
PS I've downloaded the drone go app.

    What phone do you have?
Surely it has a WiFi setting. It is the only way to connect according to a manual I found from an older model.

The drone will fly just fine without the phone, you just won't see the pictures from the FPV camera.
It is best to learn how to fly line of site before trying to use FPV.

    Cheers, Tiny

The drone I bought uses a seperate frequency for the Control and Bluetooth to pair the Camera to your mobile phone that sits on a 'cradle' on the controller.
This means you can fly the drone and I think record TO the TF card and view it later.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

This model doesn't say about Bluetooth only wifi. I've taken pics of the relevant pages of the manual.

You are not supposed to be pairing to your friends WiFi network, you are pairing/connecting the Phone to the FPV cameras video transmitter.

To connect your drone to your smart device using wifi:
1: Turn on the drone & FPV camera, do what ever needs to be done to have the drone in ready to fly mode so it transmits a Wifi signal & it's identifier.
2: Make sure wifi is enabled on your device/phone.
3: In your devices settings, find the drone. ...
4: Select your drone and choose to "connect".
5: Close out of your device settings.
6: Open the Drones video application you have downloaded on you phone & connect to video.

Ok so while I was looking for these videos I see you have posted the instructions.
    Have you followed them correctly?
Do you see your drone ID in you phones Wifi settings to connect to it?
    Cheers, Tiny

Many thanks Tiny, your clear instructions got through to my muddled brain. As you suggested I'll not be using the camera until I'm reasonably proficient with the bloody thing. Cheers Terry

I have NOT read those instruction but on mine, the Hand Controller has buttons NOT available to the model I have which I 'THINK' allows you to 'Pan and Tilt' the Camera in flight. I have to 'set' the camera before 'Take Off'.

I am sure I have seen drones for sale that have a Camera but all it does is record to a TF Card for viewing after the flight.
On Mine, the minute its powered up, the Camera starts broadcasting giving a beautiful image of the surface under it and to record, you press the camera settings on the phone.
The Drone can be flown without the camera attached which is good idea until your able to control the damn things.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
