My Wife and I were barely 10 metres away sitting on the grass as the student ran past to approach Prince Charles when he was visiting Sydney in 1994.
Ian Keirnan was on his feet as shown in the picture taken at the time in the blink of an eye to ward off the assailant.

Australia has indeed lost a great bloke with his passing.
