    Optus D2 12556H 3578 HEVC 3840x2160
    ABC FLYAWAY 2 HEVC DV1aHD

    OPTUS D2 12552H
    ABC FLYAWAY 1 HEVC DV3AHD
    Feeds found on blind scan Amiko A5 4k
    FreeSat V7 Combo, Amiko A5 combo, UltraPlus X-1000HD+, Mediastar HD8200s
    2.4m motorised mesh, 1.2m on D2, 1.2m on D1, 95cm on IS19

    I believe these were 1080 but it was interesting to see HEVC (H265) on Optus D2!
    I also note the ABC feeds have moved from MP2 to H264

    I believe these were 1080 but it was interesting to see HEVC (H265) on Optus D2!
    Only reporting what the receiver labeled them as ie. 3840x2160. They did look like good quality 1080 pictures.

    This is why I quoted the receiver I used to watch these feeds. While using blind scan I notice they are very close in frequency LDM maybe

    What type of receiver did you use to watch these feeds on? Perhaps Amiko alien5 receiver was incorrect.

    I use a PC (TB6902 PCIe card) using DVBviewer and EBSpro/VLC etc There is no doubt it was is in HEVC though which I don't think I have ever seen on Optus D2 before. I doubt they would have 4K equipment to produce this live yet. Foxtel are making a big deal with the Cricket because it's the first time a live Australian event will be in 4K.

    Can anyone else confirm?

    I even found a 1080 feed last week on Optus D2 (I think it was Rugby) that was 4:2:2/H264 encoded maxing out at around 30Mbps which is really high. Most 1080i here is around 6-10Mbps for broadcast in 4:2:0.

    36Mbps is quite common if using DVB-S2 on an 18MHz carrier.


    Most 1080i here is around 6-10Mbps for broadcast in 4:2:0.
    That's pretty poor even on a 9MHz carrier. What carrier/satellite was it on?

    That's not too flash even on a 9MHz bandwith . . . can get 16 Mbps in that configuration (H264, DVB-S2, 7.2/7.5, 9 MHz etc). What carrier/satellite was that on?
