Default Simple games that got you addicted

I normally like to play RPGs, action games, sports games and survival horror games - games that have a lot of depth and features. But there are also some games that have captured my attention even if they are simple. Here are some of the simple games that got me addicted:

Zuma - shooting balls from the mouth of a frog has never been this good.

Papers, Please - who would have thought that checking documents could be wire addicting?

Candy Crush Saga and Free Fall - the perfect match 3 games for mobile device.

My Talking Tom - my favorite virtual pet game.

What are your favorite simple games that got you so addicted?

Flappy bird. It was not only an addiction, but a nightmare. This is probably one of the most addicting games I have ever played in my entire life, yet the game looks so simple.

I downloaded flappy bird after seeing all of my friends playing it, but after about an hour of non stop playing (that's not even an exaggeration) I had to delete the app because I knew it would lead nowhere good. And it KEEPS HAPPENING! I keep downloading the app and then deleting it shortly thereafter but I can't stay away.

Flappy Bird is gone. I'm sure you can still find a copy somewhere, just not from the official App Stores.

RIP Flappy Bird. I don't know who would miss you but I sure won't. Well anyway, I still have Flappy Birds installed in my phablet and I still visit it once in a while just to try and beat my existing score of 62. I plan on uninstalling the game but seeing that it has already been deleted from the iOS and the Android market, I'll probably hold on to it for a little while longer.

I got addicted to NFS Most Wanted. It was among the first racing games that I ever played a few years ago. I still have my profile that used to play until I finished the game.

XCOM "UFO enemy unknown", the only game I ever completed. I started "terror from the deep" but a system failure in my PC back then caused a rebuild and I never got back to it.

Load Runner by Broderbund (Apple II)

    Denfender by Williams Electronics

Load Runner was by far the most addictive "level" game i've played.
Angry Birds had a similar appeal.

    Lemmings and the original Doom.
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    Doom and Heretic
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

I was severely addicted to Peggle and Bejeweled when they came out, I'm a bit ashamed to admit.

The Infocom Zork text based adventures (on a CP/M box), back in the day. Like others, I think Tetris has a certain enduring quality. I still play it occasionally on my smart phone.

Also, the original Space Invaders - bugs and all. (The original game has a number of bugs / "features" that allow those in the know to get really high scores). I should post a photo in the thread "post up your outdated technology"!
