I'm finding my i5 laptop with 8GB of RAM struggling, so I got my computer mate to help transfer the software over to an i7 desktop with 16GB of RAM. Much better performance.

And I've been meaning to start another thread as I've just got a setup for the geostationary Korean GK-2A. It can be received with an RTL-SDR! The downside is it only has a single IR channel in LRIT. Better than nothing though and a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to setup than Himawari 8 / Jcsat2B.

Super Typhoon Hagibis approaches Japan. Received at 0030UT today.
Guam and the Mariana Islands verses Typhoon Bualoi! Guam is the little island way off to the left. How about that scale! Received at 0500UT today.
A gravity wave, formed by thunderstorms in western Australia. Imaged on the 21st. It was in the news.
The eye of typhoon Halong. The northern hemisphere has given me much to look at this year. I'll be ready for cyclone season when it starts!
