Hi rohan, see image below of my Fox dish as mounted on a 42mm pipe, you will have no problems if they use the same mounts as this old one.
I am scheduled to have my Foxtel service moved from HFC to satellite soon.
I also have a brand new colorbond roof that I’m not to keen to have holes drilled in, and a gutter mount is out of the question.
So I am going to fabricate my own mount to bolt to the gable end of my house and stick up past the roof line.
However I am unsure what diameter pipe the Foxtel dish can accept. It appears from my research the “standard” Foxtel mounts have a pole diameter of 50mm, but I’m unable to verify this. The pipe I have has an OD of 42mm and I need to know if the dish clamp can tighten down ok on this diameter? I’ve googled a few dishes and the only spec I could find was for a dish that can handle poles 38-60mm.
Given I don’t know what brand dish is actually being supplied, can I assume a 42mm pole will be ok for any dish, or will I have to go to 50mm?

Thanks Tiny.
I have seen that dish in my research, and also another type.
Hopefully they will both work with 42mm pipe.
Rohan
If the dish doesn't clamp down securely, simply put a "packer" under the clamp to take up the slack.
As long as the clamp is tightened securely it won't slip.
