    I would say it would be somewhere between nil and zero chance that our $2, now $3, plan would be "upgraded" to 4G without serious amendments to the Terms and Conditions.

    EDIT: Surely you would need a new SIM ...

    on 3G i used to get between 15-25mbps.
    then one day it went crap down to 3-5.
    now on 4G im getting a nice speed between 80-130mbps.
    (im in a regional town)

    Maybe this will appeal to you Guiseppe?
    No Excess charges
    Speed Throttled to 1.5Mbs once 60Gb used.
    Can still stream music and SD video at that.
    Only downside is it's Telstra!
