both nighthawk and asus have routers that will do what you want
Looking at changing my set up, will now include a dedicated 3G/4G modem plugged into my TP-Link Router.
It can be a USB Dongle, USB Dongle with external antenna or dedicated 3G/4G Wireless broadband router.
I'd like it to be unlocked and cover all carriers freqs.
Any suggestions?
I have found these 2 likely products
USB Dongle:
Wireless Router Optus network:
Haven't found a wireless router for all networks yet

aus post have the telstra 4g wifi dongles (2x ts9 antenna ports) on sale currently for $20, til 25/11, and the optus 4g non wifi dongles (2x crc9 antenna ports) for $14 also, i use an optus one at my inlaws place connected to a d link dwr 116, works well connected to 2 external omni directional rfi antennas,
there is an updated version of the d link router the dwr 118, main difference is the wifi and network speed increases,
can be setup to run primarily on nbn/adsl etc then fall back to dongle etc, or the opposite etc, not overly hard to setup either,
there are a few huawei 3g/4g modem routers out there also,

I do very similar Lazyone
Only instead of a USB Dongle, I use an old Android phone plugged into a Dual WiFi Router as the dongle. Been working great for years.
But it's time to find a good dongle.
Bought an Unlocked Hauwei that covers all Telstra and Optus freqs.

telstra and huawei both use huawei as their 'oem' dongles, so you can't go wrong.....
i used one with optus for a few months when i couldn't get adsl and waiting for nbn, it was very fast with optus and 5/5 bar signal.....
