    Default Mirror adhesive

    It's a mine field trying to get the right information on what to use, let alone to buy it. Can anyone please help. Thanks

    Ive not done one for a long time , but on the Falcon the little base unscrewed from the mirror arm. so i cleaned both surfaces , marked the spot to make sure it was level ( checked 3 times ) then stuck the base on with the adhesive which set instantly. then screwed the mirror back on to the base

    I removed the mirror arm, and used two bolt and nut to hold it, I did not even used an adhesive and it is permanent.

    Not on a windscreen, you wont.

    I used one of the glue kits you can buy but it didnt last long, used loctite 401 and that sucker isnt coming off anytime soon.

    That looks like glorified(overpriced) Superglue a.k.a Cyanoacrylate to me.

    Bad experience with Superglue especially on glass where strong heat and humidity changes are a factor.
    Will initially hold but at the wrong moment suddenly fails.

    Would strongly suggest to use fast hardening two component epoxy like WhiteOx suggests.
    Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
    Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.
    Humans: Entities that are not only outdated but broken... AI-self-learning-update-error...terminate...terminate...

    Loctite is far superior to superglue if you havent used that number before.

    Knew. bloke used aralpdite to attffix mirror after pet dog knocked off, dog knocked off again, took glass with it.
