Default Kogan Mobile User - Is this normal?

Hoping some Kogan users may be help me out here.

I have purchased a Kogan 40GB SIM for $0.99 to try the service out

Firstly, i thought they were Telstra, but they use Vodafone.
I am using the SIM in a Huawei 4/3G dongle

Have the correct APN and find speeds of 7-8Mbs (pretty crap really)

But what really has my scratching my head, the service just completely stops after 45minutes or so
No internet until the unit is rebooted.

It is a mixed bag reading this:

Still, for a 3G/4G service id expect to be online 24/7!

Also, they way Kogan count data is very cheeky!

    1. I read somewhere to make sure you uncheck auto-recharge and to delete credit card information.

    2. in what way?
If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?
