    I changed from 91 to 98 in my territory and noticed a minimum of 25 - 30% increase km/tank.

I’ve started in the Wrangker with 98 so won’t have a bench mark to start with but believe it will
Be better in the long term.

I’m an advocate for 98 petrol. It might cost more but I have seen the benefits.

Instead of buying your daughter a Fossil fueled car which you seem to think is the devils work, why didn't you buy her an EV or a hybrid seeing you are so adamant they are the way of the future and oil is so bad?

I just drove a Priarse round NZ for a couple of weeks. Quirky thing but not all bad and the economy was good at almost 50MPG. Nothing a diesel in a similar size couldn't do but good for a petrol. Thing even pulled up hills on the highway OK much to my surprise.
Pretty sure your Daughter would have been a lot happier running that at 3L/ 100 than 12 or more for the H6.

190K KM on a H6..... No prizes for guessing why the previous owners unloaded that short fused time bomb. BOOOOMM!

I hope you won't blame her when the thing grenades and expect her to pay for the repairs.... if you aren't then smart enough to scrap it or put in a 4.
If she has to drive it long distances or on quiet roads, encourage her to keep her trips to daylight hours when there will be more people around to give her a lift back to town so she won't be stranded and have to spend the night in it. ... ya know.... Just in case the thing happens to let go or something.

I remember you telling me not to believe everything i read on the internet george
This IS the internet right george?

Amazing how your view goes against multiple Subaru Forums, also your personal view is the exact opposite of the Australian ANCAP rating and testing system
But hey, i guess you would know better than they would.... pfft, silly me.

And judging by a lot of your other posts here, i think we all know where you fit.

Oh, and then there is this

    I'm fairly happy with a 35.52 out of a possible 37

And as for this unreliable 2005 H6 3.0 engine... Please, post some evidence to support your constant gobbing off.

when I worked at the suby dealership we did many early naughties head jobs. They started leaking head gaskets around the 180k mark but seemed to be only the 4cyl models. I rarely saw a 6cyl so I can't really comment on reliability.

    WTF??
Why are you arguing safety when YOU are the only one to mention it?
Here we go with the typical spin doctoring straw man arguments yet again. Predictable as sunrise.

Please point out with detail and precision, where at any point I mentioned the safety of the vehicles or commented on it in any way?
Hint, I didn't. Never thought of it. You are arguing with yourself on that, again, not me. But prove your point, show me exactly where I said the vehicles were unsafe or argued with their safety rating?
Did you forget to take your medication or something or are just that determined to point score by trying to look like you are winning arguments that were never made?
Your arguments and comments are quite bizarre.

All I have said is the motors are Thirsty, expensive/ not worth repairing and not at all long lived. I have not even commented on any other aspect of the car. I think overall they are great but the H6 Motor is a complete and utter lemon. Ever wonder why they dropped that one and replaced it with the 3.6 but kept the 2.5 you reckon is not as good?? Fk me.

If anyone is so lacking in comprehension and reading skills to think lambasting the motor and its lack of reliability was a comment on the vehicles safety, that's a product of their own ignorance and stupidity, nothing to do with what I have said even if it's what they imagined...... Or pulled out their nether regions to try and defend their mistakes with.

Would be interesting to know how long this thing lasts but we will never be told and if we were, you can bet the story would be skewed and massaged to maintain the never wrong, know everything fantasy that is so well demonstrated.

I have no evidence to support my position and argue against people with on the net, not that I have the respect for them or motivation to do so. What I base my position on is not documented or second hand/ 3rd party info. It's all my own.
What I do have is 15 years hands on experience with my fathers wrecking yard that specialises in Subaru only. :0)
What could I possibly know about them from actual real world experience like that "eh?

Don't get me wrong, we all LOVE H6's. One of the most profitable things we get and we get all we can. 2l motor might take months to sell, Nothing much goes wrong with them other than owner stupidity, H6... be lucky to have the thing on the floor a fortnight if there isn't someone on the books already wanting to take the first one we get. AND... we can get 3-4 times as much for them as a 2L and don't even have to warrant the things. Last one I sold I got $2500 for. 2l Might get $800 for.

Yep, load of people know more about the things than we do, especially the ones that read shit on the net.
We have a name for these people, profitable return Customers. Often shortened to just Dickheads.

In this argument, no matter what is said, I'll always get the last laugh.
    I DON'T own a H6!
BTW, is your daughter on a phone plan? If not, might be a good idea to have her go on one. Wouldn't want to need her to ring you to come pick her up from somewhere and not have enough credit for the call. If she drives in the country much, might be a good thing to get her a satellite phone for christmas or a long range 2 way radio at least for the new car.

Anyway, lets see what you can come back with this time. Maybe you'll argue something about the moon landings, Stock market crash, Who really shot JFK or something else never even mentioned so you can duck and weave and make out you weren't a sucker for buying a H6.

No, not a single link because as I said, my experience is first hand. Clearly you are of the opinion that something from an known 3rd party put on the web is infallible evidence. Either that or you'll go with that notion because you think it's a way to save face no matter how flawed. No doubt even more so when it supports the opinion you want to push.

From people unlike yourself who went off on some pointless tangent arguing about safety ratings when no one else had mentioned it before? Yeah, lets try and sweep that under the table now we have been caught out on that too.
Again the hypocrisy is as astounding as it is cringe worthy.

To be honest, i haven't bothered to read the long winded rants.
Of course you did! Who you trying to fool with that load of rubbish. Yourself? You just don't want to dig yourself any deeper into the hole you have already dug and make yourself look any more silly than what you have already and always do. You also realise that you have no viable comeback, not even to complain about the thread being in the wrong catergory so are all out of ideas to try and save face so have decided to not make things worse for yourself.
Spose I have to give you some credit for that finally.
