    Default Ultra VNC port 5500

    Hi all,
Playing around with ultra vnc, just wondering if anyone has been successful at changing the listen port from 5500 to anything else (running in the viewer in listening mode). It seems to be hard coded. Would like to have a couple of computers on the same network to be in listening mode.
Is there any other free software that can do this?

    Thanks in advance

If your trying to login while on the network, i don't see how having the same port will cause an issue....

I'm guessing your trying to login remotely, and need different ports so that the router knows which pc to redirect you to?

If this is the case, you don't need to set different ports in VNC, just set the different ports you want in the router, and have it route traffic based on these ports to certain ip addresses in your network. Hence you will you these different ports when trying to login remotely.

    Code:
Rule Name	External Port Redirect Port Internal IP Address
    VNC_rule_PC_1	From 1234 to1234	From 5500to5500 192.168.1.1
    VNC_rule_PC_2	From 1235 to1235	From 5500to5500 192.168.1.2
    VNC_rule_PC_3	From 1236 to1236	From 5500to5500 192.168.1.3
If this doesn't solve the problem, you can just use RDC (windows remote desktop connection), as it is quite good and you can set specific ports via a registry string.

    Cheers, RHCP.

I found this free software to be very nice and simple, I use it to log on to my nephew's computer (From Australia to Lebanon) and I use it for file transfer and repairing his pc, it works great.
