Thanks, checked out the link, but none the wiser. If anything more confused and a couple of wrong cliks of the mouse and Symantec Alert popped up with virus attacks which were quarrantined.
    Dodgy site?

    The v6 map has a Australia.mid file, and a MapSettings.cng file, Australia.mms
which are not on new downloaded version.

The new v7 file has Australia-4.meta

When you copy the new file to a sd card and put it in Tomtom one, nothing happens.

Can someone on this site explain how its done please.
I have no issues with V6 maps, have given all my friends Activation codes for their devices.
Would be nice to have latest V7.

its a three step process to get the maps working, change the version number of the system file( using patcher), generate an associated meta.dct file and generate an associated . meta file All the relevant patcher's are linked in the one thread on ipart, you just gotta read and work out how the patchers work

Nope...V7 maps only work on V7 Tomtom software.

Latest Tomtom V6 software is 6.030 (build 8320) and can be downloaded

Latest V6 Aus map is 675.1431 and can be downloaded

    Hi,

Below are all of the download links & step by step instructions on how to do it all.

Latest firmware for Tomtom Go x00 & Go x10 is NavCore 7.162 (build 8492).
    Download link

    Latest map Australia_Map_v700.1491
    Download link

    Easyusetools_for Keygen and Mapcheck

    Patch

    Instructions
To save a certain someone reposting this off another forum here's a step by step:

****WARNING**** - Make sure you have got a full working back up copy - or use a new memory card !!!!!

Create new folder on C drive - name it Keygen.

Add the two files - Meta.txt, tt7_keygen.exe and your v7 map folder, in this example I'll use the Australia_Map_v700.1491 map

    c:\Keygen\Meta.txt (file)

    c:\Keygen\tt7_keygen.exe (file)

    c:\Keygen\Australia_Map_v700.1491(folder)

    Start your Command Prompt :-
    Start -> run -> cmd -> OK

    Type in :-
    cd C:\KeyGen click ”Enter”

    Type in :-
tt7_keygen.exe Australia_Map_v700.1491 ABCDE12345 (Replace this with YOUR DeviceID)

    Press ENTER
You should then see OK - if not then you have got something wrong.

Important: To creat a working .DCT Write your DeviceID without Space in the middle and use CAPS.

Unzip the file named 'Patch' to a folder on your PC

Copy your file named 'ttsystem' from your Tomtom Memory Card in this folder with all the Patch files.

Run the 'RunMe.bat' (Double click on it), wait, you have now a ttsystem and a ttsystem.old, copy the file named 'ttsystem' back to your Memory Card.

Put memory card back into your Tomtom, it will take a few minutes to boot up, then you should now be able to see the new V7 map.

    Enjoy

Im running the v7 maps on a one regional (usa), the system files wont work, well they do but you wont have text to speech, but cracking the original system file does allow the new maps to work and the text to speech works

    Thanks Mattie35
I got Aus map going now on a new SD card.
Will have to test it out on the road.
Cant see anything different though. The folks house is still not right.

Originally I thought i missed a step. Thought I had to do something else with the .DCT file, but all I had to do was add this to the map folder.

Now to try it with NZ map.
