    Default LIFX Bulbs

A sign that some people have far too much money!
A simple switch works for me; do not need an app to turn on the lights.

As I frequently talk to others than just to my lamp and often mention the words 'on' and 'off' in a different context, I can imagine the constant switching of it's state somewhat annoying.

Ooooh... but we also have an amazing app:

    1. Search where you last put down your device with the app
    2. Open device and unlock it
    3. Load the app
    4. Wait for it to synch with WiFi
    5. Close the pop-up banner telling you to purchase more lamps, Bunnings has them on special
    6. Select in the menu which lamp you want to switch
    7. Damnit, why do spammers keep ringing just when i am doing something important.
    8. Block the spammer caller ID
    9. Go back to the app
    10. And hopefully finally, touch the correct area that makes changes to the state of the lamp

    Modern technology is just awesome.

Edit: Damnit, why does it keep switching on by itself and when I use the app it switches on but not off anymore? Oh the app is not compatible whith my phone, yes I gotta buy a new phone....

Jesus, and those aren't even the expensive ones.

Honestly the interface isn't really all that great and is buggy and problematic. However, once I connected it to the Google Hub it's an absolute breeze.

Personally I wouldn't waste my money decking my house with them because that's just lazy, but in areas where you might be doing some heavy lifting they're great because you can turn them on by voice. They also have an Alarm Clock feature which slowly wakes you up by brightening the room.

If you think LIFX is expensive look at Phillips Hue where everything.. if not all things are propriety.

Plus, Fun Fact! LIFX is Australian unlike all the others, was created in Victoria.
