A couple of weeks ago I was in Auckland doing a photo shoot with 2 girls. They were both Strippers but the nicest, most intelligent girls I had met in some time and about as anti stereotypical as one could imagine.

One of the girls was saying how tough the job could be on ones self esteem. She said she may be with clients for an hour and then another girl would walk by they clients would be tipping the other one and paying her for dances and then just ignore her. She said it happened to all the girls but sometimes was a bit hard on the self confidence.

Second girl says It does not worry me, let's face it, we are meat in a meat market. Some people like pork, some like Beef and some prefer chicken. She said that is just peoples taste and you are never going to change that. I don't worry, I'll be on the menu for someone.

First girl says yes, that's true but I don't want to be beef or pork, I want to be like Bacon.
We both asked simultaneously, Bacon, Whats bacon?
She says everyone LOVES bacon more than anything else so I want to be like bacon and everyone love me!



These girls were not stupid.
No one that works in a job where a good Night is $3000 and a bad week is also $3000 is stupid.
Bad week would be a good one to me every week and I could afford bacon for every meal!.

Actually the girls are a lot safer in that job than working behind the bar in a pub, too. My daughter managed a bar in a strip club and security made sure that all staff were well protected escorting them everywhere, Even to a safe place at the end of their shift, They'd finish at some ungodly hour and security would escort the girls until they left in their car or got to a local coffee shop where they could get breakfast and wait for the first bus. She never got that sort of treatment in a normal pub. A patron got too "friendly" security sorted him out. So, no, strippers are not stupid, they know a good thing when they are onto it.
