Destruction of the identity of the individual follows closely on the heels of destruction of the identity involved in the concept of "society"....to be replaced by individualism and instant self gratification.

These deliberate campaigns, in addition to having untold market potential, are also a very convenient distraction for the great unwashed. ensuring that they don't spend too much time pondering other more complex and pressing issues that affect their lives, the consideration and resolution of which are far more appropriately left to those who know better.
